Asbestos removal in the NHS and Health
Countrywide have a proven track record in the health sector, providing solutions to large and small scale works in Trusts throughout the North West. We work collaboratively with Estates Management teams and other partner contractors with full knowledge of current NHS schemes and requirements.
Our resource provides solutions to keep emergency and care services operational throughout. Our approach is discrete to ensure compliance is achieved around patient requirements and in accordance with the timescales planned to deliver the scope of works. Strict security and arrangements for working within the environment of vulnerable people is maintained to appropriately certified personnel.
Collaborative working
Countrywide work collaboratively to minimise disruption given the pressure of theatres, wards and supporting infrastructure. We work closely with the Trust’s appointed asbestos managers, safety teams and other contractors to meet their scope and requirements. Effective communications with all stakeholders becomes critical to minimise anxiety, particularly where the public are in close proximity to works. Our personnel are security cleared, and are trained to respond to visitors, patients and staff in any circumstance.
Challenges:
• Working at height
• Partially occupied premises
• Working round theatre and ward needs
• Requirement for boilers to remain operational
• Confined space working

We plan and deliver services to meet exacting KPI’s. Our staff are all local which enables prompt support solutions to be provided.
Auditing
Our sites are extensively audited to ensure the works are carried out to meet the agreed methodology. This is designed to provide assurance that the highest standards of delivery are maintained on site to protect client reputation.
